Flashdance is a movie about an 18 year old welder who wants to become a professional dancer.   Obviously the movie is filled with lots of dance music that will get your heart pumping and your body moving. 

Two of the singles on this album made it to the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.  Those two where “Flashdance… What a Feeling” and “Maniac”, both great songs for the time and still will get you going.  A third song on this album “Lady, Lady, Lady” was an international #1 hit.  It was written by Joe Esposito.

This album was very successful and sold over 6 million copies in the US.  Still today many of these songs are used in commercials, referenced, and played at parties.
